Six Unimportant things/habits/quirks about my self.
1. When I was younger (like grade school/high school) I used to practice writing my weak hand. So now that I am old, I am really dominantly a Rightie (right handed person), but when I have to, I can use both hands to write. I guess you can call me ambidextrous. :)
2. I plan holidays even if I am pretty sure they wont push through anyway. But I so love love love researching on hotels endlessly and tirelessly! (Hehe, pathetic me- only 50% actually push through- at least! :) )
3. I used to think I would never like to have my own children... Now, I am wanting one! (Having turned 30 does that to a lady! - I mean woman!)
4. I still remember the full names of my elementary/secondary/university batchmates! I just can't forget them even after what, two decades. My memory is too good!
5. I've got weird food combos that I enjoy/once enjoyed eating! (eg, hotdog with coco jam, etc - Which I will write into a post later!)
6. I have managed to be in about six long distance relationships! Two of which were long term. Talk about attracting a certain type of relationship!

How many hours of sleep do you get?
I think on the average I only get about six hours of sleep a day. Reading on Newsweek's article, I guess this means that I am a chronic short sleeper and further means that in the long run my body can no longer recognise what it means to be really and truly well rested. (Well, yeah, I guess I don't know what that is! In a fast paced world one never gets enough rest. Always wanting more vacation time to sleep in!)
It is said that we do need at least seven hours of sleep in a day otherwise our minds and body won't function properly. And, as we get older it takes its toll. More wrinkles, deeper eyes and permanently dark under eye circles, dry skin among the other effects that lack of sleep can give you (and me).

So next time I'm sluggish and feeling really tired, I know why. So, at least seven hours. I just need to sleep an hour earlier to compensate!

Picnics at the Park
Don't you just love nice, sunny days especially if it falls on a pretty weekend afternoon?
Hubby and I just are so into hanging around the park on gorgeous days like this (see photo - taken at the Botanic Gardens). Armed with our picnic mat, sunnies, cameras, chocolate cake, soda, chips, book or magazine, we'd head off to the Botanic Gardens. Find our spot under the trees' shade. Watch the world go by. Or, read a magazine. Or, just take a short nap.
We'd enjoy the sunshine! We'd hear people chatter by, children playing in the grass, young teens playing truth or dare (daring to climb up that smoldering hot metallic horse statue!), couples spending nice quality time talking (and snuggling), a few photographers following the cockatoos and lorikeets, teeners basking in the sun in their swimmers (you'd think they were meant to go to the beach), occassionally a white haired man and woman walks by hand in hand so sweetly, a group of Japanese tourists taking photos of the bats hanging on the branches of the tall trees, a French mum pushing the pram of her so cute baby, some guys jumping around and making cartwheels on the grass. This and many other happenings we've witnessed. We enjoy lazing around together with the rest of the population who opt to spend their weekends outdoors. We have such a nice city, and quite a number of lovely parks to choose from. We've been to most of them in and around the city, but the Royal Botanical Gardens' charms tickle our fancy the most.

Playing the Sims Game & Home Furnitures from Ikea and Freedom
Don't you just love going shopping to buy furnitures for the house? I do! Not that I have that much $$ to buy stuff that I want (or need in disguise). But I just find it very exciting to go to a store and visualise something you've seen at the shop, where you will be placing it at home. And whether the furnitures match your overall look at home.
Soon I hope to be visiting Ikea or Freedom, when hopefully I get my own place. I've been browsing through their sites and really so many cute and practical stuff to purchase.
I think I should have been an interior designer, as I really used to love decorating if given the chance. I may not be that good (yet), but those things can be learned. And it helps to have a bit of flair for creativity. I may have a hidden talent. A few years ago I loved playing the game Sims. I actually played it because I loved creating houses. This game's such a great time waster (hehe, I played 4 hours straight one time). So addictive. Being able to construct your house the way you want it to be, furnish it, all without having to move your bum off your chair, nor having to spend a penny (except for internet costs and electricity of course).
I am off surfing the net for home stuff. Who knows if a great bargain comes up, I may just grab it!
I am a new Postie!
After a few reject emails, I am finally a paidblogger for Pay Per Post! You wouldn't believe how eager I was to be part of their blog network . I've been hearing about how they are one of the leading Paidblogging sites around, and how many opportunities one can actually get through them. Plus the fact that they are constantly in communication with their members, which shows how much hands on they are with Posties like me (oh, just like hearing that word!).
Having joined Pay Per Post, I can attest to how simple, straightforward and userfriendly their site is. I was pretty impressed with the number of opportunities at my finger tips. I am just wishing I have all the time to write about what interests me, at the same time keep my readers updated with the ins and outs and happenings of my life and the world around me. Indeed, 24 hours a day is not enough. But oh well, at the end of it all, I guess I am just really glad to be part of this paidblogging phenomenon. Such wonders of modern technology!
Now, while anticipating myself to be busy with opps, I will be thinking of what to spend the $$ that I will be getting. Hmm... Perhaps that new bag that I've been eyeing! Or ... just treat me and Hubby to some nice dinner?... I'll count my eggs when I have the basket! :) Haha!

Are you a Formula 1 Grand Prix Fan? Grab your tickets NOW!
The Official Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix Website has launched phase 1 of the General Admission ticket sales. Three day passes to the much awaited event for Singapore in 2008, is slowly unfolding with preparations for the Grand Prix. The debut of the race is on 28 September 2008 and will go and maze through the streets of Singapore. I am sure this will be a spectacular sight. My lady friend in Singapore has already reserved her tickets way back, using her networks to obtain such reservation. All fans out there am sure, are counting the days. I would love to go and visit Singapore. Who knows, I may actually find myself there in September. On my way back to Manila. I'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, let's enjoy the thrill of waiting.

Hollywood : Make up or No Make up ?! What do you think?
In reality, people are not made up 24/7 365 days of the year. When one is a celebrity, it matters to be seen in public without your glossies or foundation or eyeliners. But really at the end of the day we are all human, and our face needs to breathe sans makeup. Some celebrities still look gorgeous with or without having to paint their face. But, some let say, are better with make up on. You decide which ones are just fine and which ones are great! :) See if you can recognise them on your own! House or Apartment Unit? Rent or Buy?
Recently I've been looking at places to move to. I have been undecided whether to just rent or buy. Rent is just going steeper by the quarter. And sometimes it may be better to just purchase a place (apartment/house) as it will be the same cost anyway in the long run, at least if you buy it is yours.
I've been searching through Domain, Justlisted, Homehound, Realestate. And so far I'm not making any progress. I have to decide soon. Meanwhile, I am just really glad and appreciative of the fact that I have a home, am warm at night, and I am dry during the rainy days.

Baby Bumps in Hollywood
I just really don't get it why Hollywood is making it seem that baby bumps are in! Like a craze to some fashion cut. Isn't pregnany supposed to be an occurence when two people in love decide to procreate? I really hope and pray that people writing about all these Hollywood mums-to-be don't lose track of the real real real meaning of bringing a child out into this world. That goes the same for ladies, and men as well, who are carrying with a child, or are thinking of getting pregnant. It is not something that one gets into, just to be part of the "IN" crowd. Pregnancy entails a big responsibility. It is not something that you do to be talked about. And it is definitely not something that you carelessly engage in. Think about it. Oftentimes than not, it is best to think twice, thrice, hundred times about this topic.
